Where it is important to maximise calorie intake larger portion meals can be very handy. The meals below are designated 2-portion packs by the manufacturers, but we feel they are best used either for one very hungry person or for group use (combining two or more packs).

For the Adventure Food large portion meals, please note that (unlike the single-portion meals) these packs are NOT of the "add water to the pouch" type, they must be prepared in a pan. To prepare, empty the contents of the pack into a pan, add the stated amount of water and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat, cover and leave for the required time to rehydrate. Mix again and serve. Do NOT add water to the foil packet. The Mountain House meals are of the "add water to the pouch" type: the pouches are the same size as the one-portion meals, they are just have more filling.
